Where do our donations go?

Dear Members of ANA and Friends of Naval Aviation:

As you know, the ANA is a not-for-profit, tax exempt organization with a mission of service as the principal association dedicated to expanding advocacy for Naval Aviation. ANA, through its unequaled publication Wings of Gold, local Squadrons, and attendance at various events and symposia, seeks to educate and encourage an interest among the general public regarding the importance of Naval Aviation in defense of the United States and is allies.

In 2022, we took advantage of educational opportunities by co-sponsoring and participating in events hosted by the National Naval Aviation Museum, the Naval Helicopter Association (NHA), and the Tailhook Association. ANA also presented over a dozen outstanding achievement awards to active duty Naval Aviators and supporters, as well as a scholarship for a high school student to attend the National Flight Academy.

While ANA remains the home of the Philip H. Jones Naval Aviation Scholarship several of our local squadrons sponsor scholarships to the National Flight Academy and other similar STEM-focused opportunities for deserving youths. Additionally, our Patuxent River Squadron has joined forces with Naval Aviators at the U.S. Naval Academy to host well attended events that help the Midshipmen understand the value of naval aviation and to help them make informed career choices.

In 2023, we look forward to continuing, and expanding, ANA's teaming opportunities so that all of our Naval Aviation fraternities prosper and provide value to the Membership. As an example, for the past two years ANA has cohosted a very popular social event in conjunction with the Navy League Sea-Air-Space symposium at the Gaylord National Convention Center. At the event, members of ANA, Coast Guard, Tailhook, MCAA, Maritime Patrol Association and the NHA are afforded an excellent opportunity to enjoy an evening of camaraderie and professional brotherhood.

Our future as the principal association dedicated to advocacy for all of Naval Aviation depends on you and your financial commitments. We cannot accomplish the mission of ANA without your continued support through membership renewals and donations.
